After 1990, Hadapsar developed into a major industrial area and is now one of the most densely populated and developed areas of Pune District. It is well connected to all parts of city. Tourist attractions in the vicinity include Theur, Kanifnath Temple, Purandar Fort and Mastani Talav (a lake). The annual Wari pilgrimages of Sant Dnyaneshwar and Sant Tukaram travel by palkhee from Alandi and Dehu respectively, passing through Hadapsar, after which the routes are again separated.
